Female racers in F1. Should it happen?

Well, the short answer is yes. But I don't do short answers so here's the long-winded one.
Were there ever female F1 drivers?
Yes, Maria Teresa de Filippis in 1958 and Lella Lombardi in both 1975 and 1976. Although they didn't score very many points as their male counterparts - it does at least prove that women can hold their own in an F1 car.
The last woman to ever compete in F1 was in 1992 and her name was Giovanna Amati. It's been some time - so I think it's time to get women back in F1 cars.
Although those cars were entirely different from the animals being driven today. Possible to adjust and build up that muscle strength.
Would this work?
It has already opened the door to several female staff members in direct correlation to something like engineering and refining the sport for the future.
The idea behind the W-series is to bridge the gap so that women can once again compete in F1. For several years, it has been vastly populated with male drivers.
Why aren't there any women in F?
This might be down to the fact that it's seen as a male sport so as kids, parents would generally encourage boys to get into racing; had they chosen to do so.
Women are generally more inclined to pursue other careers like a nurse, for example. This doesn't count for everyone, of course, but compared to the number of men racers. There is a small percentage of women that pursue this career path.
Crucially though, I think because you need an absorbent amount of money to part-take in this sport. To put this into perspective here's a bit from the FIA's website: "For the entry fee an amount of 2,000€ multiplied by the number of events on the calendar (up to a maximum of 18,000€) has been agreed, while the late entry fee now is set at 3,000€ per driver, car and event taken part in." - Source: FIA.com
So this makes it incredibly difficult to have a career in F1 - or just racing in general.
I hope that the W-series allows more women to be in F1 and opens the door to greater opportunities for women in the sport.
